My lawyer notified that he has received an RFE for incorrect info on the I-485 Biographic info form. The last entry in the "last 5 years in the US" address list contains a start date of when i was not even in the US. Apparently his assistant goofed up with a typo. He is recommending that i prepare a signed affadavit explaining to the CIS that it was an honest mistake. Would that be enough? Can the G-325 be resubmitted ?

I am in a weird situation here, I was Laid off on July 21st with pay in lieu until 4th August. I had applied for Change of Status to F2 (my wife is on F1) on 17th August. On 31st August I got a job offer and applied for H1B transfer to USCIS on 8th September (using 15th august paystub as the latest).
At the same time i filed to USCIS to revoke my F2 application.
Today I got a notice from USCIS that my application for change of status to F2 is approved as of 09/21/2009.
Now, I dont know what to do, does it mean I am now on F2? Is my H1B transfer application still valid or I need to apply again this time on premium processing.
What should be my next course of action. Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Please let me know if 140 processing times is based on receipt date or notice date?
I'm a concurrent 140-485 filer, filed on July 2 2007. My notice date on I-140 says August 16, 2007, where as my friend who filed only140 on july 2 has Notice date of july 12. Does that mean his will be processed first?

I was working with company A until July 2009. They had filed my F1 to H1 COS Application in April 2009, which got approved. I have the receipt for that. I lost my job in July 2009 and found another one. My new employer, Company B, filed a NEW COS Application (which they said is subject to the H-1B cap, which is confusing cuz they could have used the receipt number from my previous approval I think)
Anyway, I contacted the attorney from Company B and they said I should call company A and have them cancel my H-1 COS Application. I called the attorney from Company A and she said she would cancel the H-1 Application. She also mentioned about ME having to send a letter to USCIS. Why do I have to send this letter? Saw in a IV post (looking for the link) that an NSC IO told that they will adjudicate applications with Name Check pending only if they dont hear back from FBI by November,08. Below link may offer some clues on why "November".

Not to read too much in to what one IO might have said...but Wanted to see if there is any truth to this as I remember seeing folks approved with Namecheck pending on some forums. So pl. post here if you fit in to the above category.

A little too much desaturation, I think. Since you've kept as much red in her top as you did, you should keep a little bit of the color in her skin, otherwise it looks a little unbalanced. Her skin looks too cool in comparison.

Call me insanely confused idiot, but here is a thing:
I work for a major MNC (of course pays me 15% less than I should be making). My boss is also leaving the company. At the same time, I am getting an offer from another local (small) company, better position and pay. My GC is pending PD Jul-05/EB2 India from MNC. Should I leave at the 11th hour?

If your H1B approved as a part of change of status from L1, Your current status will be H1B (You can check that on new I94) from the date H1B starts. In this case, You lost your L1 status and you need to start working with H1B employer. You need to take advice from your H1B Lawyer.
