This is what I want to do :
I have a scrolling text on a Movie Clip, and I want the user to chose the scrolling speed. An example of what I need, is the scrolling text on the Home Page of www.metallica.com. Please see it, and tell me the script I should use, to do smth like that.

The big news is that the masters cap was hit as of December 24th. I had been predicting since last summer that this 20,000 quota would be hit in the last week of the year and the pace of usage stayed extremely consistent. This incident opened my eyes and prodded me to move my fat ass to do something about this.
I just made my first contribution of $100 to IV.
Gandhi once said "Make your contribution, however insignificant you think it is. In reality, your contribution makes a huge difference".
Like he said, our little acts when combined become a formidable act and can accomplish a lot. I would suggest others make contributions too - especially now when everyone is excited - before you get back to the usual reticent state. let us not try to ride piggyback on some else's efforts.

FOlks,
I am tired of this GC process like u all are. the following is my situation.
Currently on H1B and 140 cleared with company B, no 485 applied missed the boat during the VISA bulletin fiasco(USCIS money making scam)
i have a future GC with COMPANY A, 485 applied, i have EAD/AP also.
i am tired of my current job, too much exploitation, i want to change, so my question is can i just take some other permanent employment using this EAD/AP
My question is as this future GC with COMPANY A and i have never worked for this company A. can i do a AC21 and move on ?
does AC21 apply future GC. ?
Appreciate any thoughts in this matter

I-140 processing date isn't country specific, but make sure check the date for the center you have applied to - the date varies by center

Myself and my wife got first EADs with expiration of Sept 17, 2008. We both applied for renewal on July 14th, 2008 with TSC and my wife got her EAD under a month. My wife is using it work, where as I am still on valid H1b. My application was pending still then, I have called USCIS and put an expedite request on Oct 17, 2008. On Dec 3rd, my case status online updated saying, case transfered to one of the local office. I got a paper notice after 2 days saying:
for faster processing we have transfered your case to the following location.
and nothing in the next line, blank.
Even though I assume this was to faster my process, just wanted to know whether any of you have faced this.

Hi All,
My OPT expires on March 20th 2012. According to USCIS rules, I am on valid F-1 status 2 months after OPT expiration. "nonimmigrant F�1 students on post-completion OPT maintain valid F�1 status until the expiration of the OPT period and the subsequent 60-day departure preparation period".
Is it possible for me to take advantage to cap-gap after expiration of OPT as I will still be on valid status? Can I quit work for 10 days after my OPT expiration and start working again on April 1st after a employer files my H-1?
Please advise.

Hi,
I need advice from Gurus who have experience or gone through this. I am on H1B with pending I485 and i got married recently. My spouse is on H4.
I have been looking for a job and my employers want to hire me on EAD. If i use EAD, then my wife will be out of status.
Other option is for my wife to get into F1 status.
1. How easy to change the status from H1 to F1?
2. Should i wait to use my EAD till my wife's F1 status gets approved?
3. If the change of status gets denied, will there any problem to her H4 status?
4. Will there be any problem if i add my wife (Assuming she is on F1) to pending I485?

H1b from non-cap to cap cannot be transfered. In order for you to work in private companies, you need to get new H1b by filing in on april 1 st 2009 which will ahve start date of oct 2009. Untill then you are stuck ..!!!
However you can transfer your present H1b to another non-profit h1b. I know the rules sucks..I ahve been in your place and got H1b this time. Can't wait to to get freedom on oct 1st.

The A# that is listed on my I-485 receipt notice is different from the one listed on my approved I-140. In addition, the number listed on my I-485 receipt notice has only 8 digits instead of 9. From reading various forums, I've heard both sides of the story...some are saying that something like this needs to be corrected, and some others are saying that the A# is just a file number, and eventually gets consolidated.
I called USCIS customer service, but they weren't much help as they couldn't pull up the information in their system.
Any inputs? I'm planning on inquiring about this when I go for fingerprinting. Also curious to know if anyone's A# on their approved I-140 has nine digits, and if the one on the I-485 receipt notice only has 8 digits.
