bigboy007: As long as you have filled the form given by ASC officer and she has endorsed your FP notice, You are fine. ASC officer was right, single finger print will cover both of your applications. Just relax, I see no issues.

Most of the shots given are booster shots. Two MMR shots?
Varicella needs to be taken twice at 1 month intervals, however most doctors sign and seal the package when you take the first varicella shot and then ask you to come back one month later and take the 2nd shot, if not, you can insist the doctor to do so.
Needed shots are MMR, TD and Varicella, all others are Age unappropriate for us(atleast the applicants and spouses).

total of all 1099-misc = gross income
subract all business expenses (Corp/ LLC/ Proprietor)
thats the nett business income to be reported while filing taxes

My H1b got Approved and starts from OCT 1st and OPT Extension Expires in July 1st week.
I am travelling to India for 2 weeks in next month.
Do I need to go for Stamping? or my Current student status is valid :confused:

For those of you who either are residents (Citizens or PRs) or Canada or have been thinking about becoming residents of Canada but working in US, please share your experience in terms of:
1. How you maintain your residency (or non-residency) in both countries.
2. What are the tax implications if you maintain residency in both countries,
specially if you own property in Canada.
I have heard stories about tax implications in Canada if you own property there even if you permanently live an work in the US. Is that true? Would you be considered a resident in Canada for tax purposes just because you own property (such as vacation homes) but live permanently in US.
I currently own a property in Canada but have been living and working in US for past 8 years and really worried about any tax implications in Canada because of the property. Any help would be very much appreciated.

My Husband was a F1 international student and his F1 service had stopped by his school, but his Visa( China) was expires on July, 2009. Couple months ago, he and I gets married and he is ready for file the green card. But his grandfather is very sick now and he have to go back immedately; however, he didn't file anything at this time. If he having a emergry that need to go back on June , what he can do now? And is he able to come back to US?

I know this is forum is not the correct place to discuss this topic. But I am posting this because some members of the forum must have already faced ths issue.
I ahve a one month old newborn. We are planning to go to India for vacation end of July. I have to apply for my baby's US passport. But she has not received her SSN. The instuction says that SSN is not mandatory but IRS can fine you if you dont disclose that information. I tries to contact SSN office, IRS office and Passport Office. Each one will point to the other Agency. So not sure what what to do. Anyone who was in the same boat, please let me know whether there are any issues with applying for passport without SSN number.

I got H1 this year. I was applied my ssn on oct 9 th. still i didn't get my ssn number. two days back ssn people called and told that "in online it is showing your EAd card. so we can give u ssn if you bring the EAD card". My question is if i give my EAD, will the h1 get cancelled. please suggest me.
Dont worry, showing EAD to SSA office will not cancel or invalid your H1B. Goto SSA office and tell them you have both H1B as well as EAD.

I am from India and currently visiting USA on B2 visa. I recently got a job with a very reputed firm in US and applied for an H1B but my application reached USCIS after the H1B quota was full.
I really want to work for my new employer and would like to know what other options do I have to obtain work permit in USA other than L1 Visa?

I have heard in the past from a lawyer that when in H1B status the filing of Green Card must be done and labor certification approved before the 5th anniversary of H1B status. In other words, one cannot start the process for a Green Card in the 6th year of H1B status.
Is this correct? Or is the lawyer being overly cautious?
If such a rule does exist can you please point me to the exact regulation?
